The East Boston resident and reputed head of the New England Mafia is arrested shortly before 7 a.m. at the Gemini Social Club at 155 Endicott Street. After pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges in federal court in Providence, R.I., on September 12, 2012, he becomes the sixth consecutive New England mob boss to be convicted and sentenced to prison.
